Boom! Life modified.

And boom, it all exploded like a Diwali cracker, bringing so much happiness with it. I stood totally astonished for a few moments, it seemed that I was in a dream, ‘No this can't happen with me’. Unable to actually believe the truth, I pinched myself hard. Even the pain from the pinch felt sweet.

It was 5 Dec., 2019 , it's almost a year from now and I still remember the slightest details of the day. The day started with a boring morning as usual. Waking and getting ready for college is the only thing I did before reaching college. In contrast to people of my age, I was not at all interested in going to college. The reasons behind it were, first my late joining of college due to health issues and second and biggest one was lack of friends. I barely talked to anyone in college. And as always today was one of those days...irk. As usual I attended my lectures. In the mid gap our CR (class representative) announced that we are supposed to meet in the college canteen at 2 pm in the lunch break. Everybody started chattering as if there was gonna be something really big. But what have I to do with it, I thought and moved to the library. And the rest of my time was spent there, with the books, keeping the phone aside in silent mode . At 2:10 pm it strike my mind that I had to meet others in the canteen. Though most of the time I was thinking over the 2 pm matter. But how can I forget to reach there on time? Sometimes due to such incidents I feel to be suffering from amnesia. However, I reached there 15 mins late almost out of breath, but never expected the thing that happened next. There was an unusual silence surrounding the canteen, because basically it's the most crowded place in the whole college, i felt a bit odd. Surprise!!! with a burst of noise everybody wished me “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!”. Yes, you read absolutely right I got 150 birthday wishes in a boom. It left me astonished. The astonishment was not only from my unexpected and unannounced birthday party but also from the wrong day celebration. I was standing there totally numb for a minute and then after taking a deep breath, I told them that it wasn’t my birthday and thanked them for being so humble to think so much for me. And again the same sort of silence felt all over. But then unexpectedly everybody started laughing at their loudest. I stood there puzzled, like that kind of feeling never occurred to me. Then one of my classmates told me that they knew, it wasn't my birthday, but still they managed to celebrate one so that i can interact with them, as i was the only one who despite being in the class was never a part of it. This left me overwhelmed, being introvert by nature, never in my life had I experienced such surprise. This totally unexpected day gave me a bunch of friends that I urged for. I feel such incidents should take place in almost everyone's life especially the introverts, at least ones, so that they can come out of boredom and live their life to the fullest. Now, college has become my new home and my classmates are my new family members.
